This group is aimed to bring together Elgin and western suburbs runners for group runs, races and social gatherings. I am creating this group because all of the local running groups all seem to gather downtown Chicago, far away from Elgin. Runners of all experience levels and running types should join. I will organize group runs bi-weekly, more as demand increases.

This is a Sunday morning fun run group to warm up the legs after a long distance run on Saturdays. It's also an easy way to start the week. Since this is a fun run, it's an easy pace & only 3 mile distance. It's a great place for beginning runners or runners just looking to meet other runners & have a cool down day. If Sundays work out, we can add to the days & distances, even sign up for group races & events, if we have willing participants.

I challenged myself to do 12 5ks in 12 months. In the end it was the best challenge I have ever set for myself because it turned out to be an adventure than I had not anticipated on having.
