Hello Runners, After a few months hiatus I am happy to be back in action with the HKRC. A big high ten to Elaine Keating Brown our club’s Co- Organizer for setting up runs in my absence. She will be running her first race in Central Park in a couple weeks and I’m proud to say we both have half marathons on the calendar for October. Now that I am back the HKRC will aim to offer three workouts a week: a speed workout, easy run of 3-6miles during the week and a longer run on the weekend. Paces will …

The Tribeca Running Club provides a opportunity for downtown runners to train, compete, or just go on casual group runs. Downtown Manhattan doesn't have as much of a running infrastructure as other parts of the city, so this group helps local runners stay motivated and connected, while enjoying the great paths and other running-related perks our neighborhood offers.

Hello! This group is for those that want to have a group or another person to run with. Sometimes it is just more fun to run with others. The purpose of this group is to give those who are new to running, those who have been running awhile or those that just need the accountability of a group a place to call home. We will do runs of different lengths and locations. This group is lead by certified fitness trainer and USA Track and Field Coach Kaylin. I have completed many half marathons and a fu …

We are runners who live/work/run in Lower Manhattan. Members of this group are runners in their 20's and 30's, capable of running at least 4miles at a 10mm, and who want to run early in the morning or later in the evening due to a busy schedule. Recently, I set out to find a running group with whom I could run on at least a weekly basis. After running with a few groups, I quickly found that, with my work hours and location, it was difficult to find anything that really worked. While all my runs …
The New York Flyers was founded in 1989, with the goal of establishing a running club open to individuals of all athletic abilities and experience levels. We have group runs that meet in the mornings and evenings on most days of the week. We are currently the largest running club in New York, with over 600 runners, duathletes and triathletes. The Flyers are the New York Road Runners' official pace leaders for the New York City Marathon training runs. In addition, our social and charitable activi …

… ~John Bingham A bit about the organizer: I started running about 2 years ago when my daughter was 10 months old. I needed a way to relieve stress, get some "me" time and add fitness back into my life. Lately I've been looking for some running support and other like minded mamas that are interested in running as a form of exercise. That being said, I am looking for moms that will be ACTIVE participants in the group. Running together only works if you actually show up! Understandably, moms are b …
FINALLY! The Fun Run has arrived in New York City! It's pretty straightforward - We're a group of people that like to run and have fun! Every Wednesday we meet at a different local bar throughout NYC, run, and always meet back at the bar for a guilt free beer and to hang-out. If you're in your 20-30's (or just think you can hang) with a fun and outgoing personality looking to meet new people, then come join us! Our runners are all at different paces. Everyone usually finds someone within their p …
This group was started to get people, like myself, in better shape than we already are.
I work out during the week but am looking to get a bit more out of my weekends. My goal is to be in the best shape possible for the summer (and rest of the year). Rain, Sleet, or Snow.
So I'm starting a running/calisthenic
s program for anyone from Astoria who wants to join: Saturday (3pm) and Sunday (4pm).
The workouts shouldn't take more than 1.5 hours (including warm up and cool down).
Bring enough water …
Barefoot Runners NYC is a group of runners who have left their thick-soled sneakers in the dust and started running with Vibram Five Fingers, other minimal sole shoes, or totally barefoot. Maybe you've read Born to Run, or maybe you've gotten injured running and are looking for a better solution -- whatever your reason, this is the place. The body's natural stride is a healthier, more natural way to run, resulting in better running efficiency and fewer injuries. We follow a lot of Daniel Lieb …
I decided to start the group because I love to run and I know there are many others who do as well. It is located downtown in Tribeca along the beautiful water and will offer times to run before work. It is hard to get motivated in the early morning to go run. Knowing that you have the support of others, the fabulous views of the park, and hudson river will make it that much easier. You should come and join our runs if you love to run, it is now a part of your life, or it is something you have a …

If you're not a Hasher, you may have a difficult time understanding the "Red Dress Run". And if you don’t like beer or running, then, you will never get the Hash. The New York City Hash House Harriers is a mixture of athleticism and sociability, hedonism and hard work; a refreshing break from the nine-to-five routine. Hashing is an exhilaratingly fun combination of running, orienteering, and partying, where bands of Harriers and Harriettes chase Hares on four- to five-mile runs through the city, …
Those of us who love running in Queens get to experience the best of all worlds. We are in the greatest city in the world, in the most diverse county in the country. We have fantastic parks in our borough - and even two major airports to carry us to distant races. We have beaches. We have challenging hills and shady trees. We have a Major League Baseball team, a world-class tennis center (and tournament), and have been the home to more people of influence than you can count on all of our ha …

I wanted to start an afternoon mommy and daddys running group for beginners to the seasoned running veteran. I will always have my baby boy and jogging stroller in hand but also extend the invite to women (or men!) without strollers. I am flexible with days and times. Ideally, I would like at least a twice a week meetup. We will typically meet on the lower westside of Central Park at 2:30pm. I will give exact details of the meetup location for each run. We can start out with 3 miles and go from …
